...GROWING SEASON COMMENCES ACROSS THE PIEDMONT EXCEPT FOR THE
I-40 CORRIDOR TODAY...

April 1st is the climatological start to the growing season for
most of the Piedmont of the Carolinas and northeast Georgia. The
exception is the I-40 corridor of the Northwest Piedmont and 
Northern Foothills of North Carolina, which start April 15th.

NWS Greenville-Spartanburg will issue frost and freeze watches, 
warnings, and advisories for these counties as appropriate from
this point forward through the spring.
