This flood event is a result of recent snow melt and heavy rain. Flooding is expected to conclude the middle of next week. As of late Thursday evening, the crest on the Wabash River was at Hutsonville. On the White River it was reaching Petersburg. And, on the East Fork White River the crest was in the vicinity of Rivervale and Bedford. Quiet weather will continue through the weekend with dry weather, plentiful sunshine, and seasonable temperatures, all of which will help dry wet soil and allow rivers to recede.
