Expect slight cooling and occasional breezes next week as a series of cold fronts move through the Great Basin. Little or no precipitation is expected with these fronts. && .DISCUSSION...A ridge of high pressure will bring continued quiet weather over the next couple days. The pressure gradient will remain fairly weak with light winds anticipated. Rising heights will promote warming daytime temperatures, reaching 5 to 10 degrees above normal by Monday. A dry cold front will push through the area Tuesday, bringing slightly cooler temperatures and locally breezy conditions. High pressure will build back in later Wednesday into Thursday. Another trough is possible Friday into the weekend, but precipitation chances are minimal. All in all, a fairly quiet weather pattern looks to remain in place for the next 7-10 days. && .AVIATION...For the 00Z package...Expect VFR for the next 24 hours with sct-bkn mid and high level clouds.
