420 FXUS64 KSJT 141133 AFDSJT Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service San Angelo TX 533 AM CST Mon Dec 14 2020 ...New AVIATION... .SHORT TERM... (Today and tonight) Issued at 520 AM CST Mon Dec 14 2020 ...Unseasonably Cool... After a cold start this morning, lots of sunshine today will help produce afternoon highs in the 50s; that's much cooler than usual mid December highs. Surface winds today will return, from the south, and initiate a warming trend. This warming trend, although short-lived, will help produce overnight lows tonight much warmer than this morning and very close to seasonal normals. && .LONG TERM... (Tuesday through Sunday) Issued at 520 AM CST Mon Dec 14 2020 ...Dry with an Overall Warming Trend... Well, another forecast cycle has come and gone, and the long term forecast, for West Central Texas, still looks unusually dry. What's more, the overall temperature trend, through next weekend, will be warming; however, a couple of cold fronts will temporarily stall this warming trend's upward march. The next cold front Tuesday will bring cold air, from the north. Nevertheless, by Friday, afternoon highs around 5 degrees above seasonal normals look likely. Then, a temporary cool-down Saturday, from another cold front, will again produce a slight downward dip in the warming trend. Finally, with lots of sunshine and surface winds returning from the south and southwest, expect highs Sunday to again be a few degrees above seasonal normals. && .AVIATION...
