Rutt && PREV DISCUSSION... /Issued 233 AM CST Fri Nov 20 2020/ DISCUSSION... A cold front near the Canadian River early this morning will continue to move south across the rest of the Texas Panhandle by sunrise. High temperatures are expected to be some 20 degrees cooler today as compared to yesterday's record breaking highs. Upslope flow on Saturday will bring increasing low level moisture along with extra cloud cover. This will keep temperatures around or below normal. In fact, high temperatures may be too warm if the more aggressive NAM model pans out with it's cloud cover and rain. Rain is expected to spread from north to south Saturday and Saturday night as an upper level disturbance moves across. A few thunderstorms will be possible across the northeast CWA along and behind a cold front that moves through the region Saturday night and Sunday morning. More rain ie expected through the day Sunday and Sunday night. Before the rain tappers off Monday morning it may mix with or change over to some light snow. Precipitation chances return Monday afternoon through Tuesday night as a stronger upper level disturbance moves across the southern Rockies and Panhandles. Again, some of the rain may mix with or change to light snow at the end of the event Tuesday night as the column cools off and surface temperatures fall below freezing in some areas. The forecast then goes dry Wednesday into Thanksgiving Day as the upper level disturbance moves off to the east of the region. After cooler than normal high temperatures on Sunday, readings are expected to get back to around normal for Monday through Thursday. && .AMA Watches/Warnings/Advisories... TX...None.
