While a deep storm system over eastern Canada will continue to 
generate strong winds across the region through much of Monday... 
the threat for damaging gusts has nearly ended. Colder air on the 
backside of the system will now support some lake effect rain and 
wet snow showers east of both lakes...with minor accumulations 
expected for the higher terrain of the Southern Tier and also for 
the Tug Hill. Reinforcing cold air will then promote more widespread 
lake effect precipitation Monday night and Tuesday.
