.Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters...
A surface front is about 210 nm northwest of Kauai, while a weak
surface ridge is near Maui County. Moist and unstable atmospheric
conditions will keep a chance of thunderstorms over the western 
waters through early Friday morning. A weak surface front is 
expected to remain northwest of Kauai this weekend.

Hawaiian waters within 40 nautical miles including the channels-

.TODAY AND TONIGHT...East to southeast winds 10 to 15 knots near  
the Big Island, and variable winds 10 knots or less elsewhere. 
Wind waves 2 to 3 feet. Northeast swell 2 to 3 feet. Scattered 
showers. A slight chance of thunderstorms over the western waters.
.FRIDAY AND FRIDAY NIGHT....East to southeast winds 10 to 15 
knots near the Big Island, and variable winds 10 knots or less 
elsewhere. Wind waves 2 to 3 feet. Scattered showers. 
.SATURDAY THROUGH MONDAY...East to southeast winds 10 to 15 knots
near the Big Island and over the Windward Maui County waters. 
Variable winds 10 knots or less elsewhere. Wind waves 2 to 4 
feet. Northwest swell 2 to 3 feet Saturday, then building to 5 to
6 feet from Saturday night through Monday. Northeast swell 2 to 3
feet Monday. Scattered showers.
