A cold front moved through the forecast area today, with cooler, drier air behind. Lows Friday morning will be in the mid to upper 30s over the north part of the CWA, in the 40s to lower 50s elsewhere. High pressure and fair weather will be expected Friday and Saturday, with highs in the 60s to lower 70s and lows warming into the 40s to lower 50s for the entire CWA by Saturday morning. LONG TERM... Cloud cover will begin to increase Sunday, with an approaching frontal boundary moving eastward through the Plains. The boundary will stall on the west side of high pressure and an upper ridge over the eastern CONUS. Rain showers and maybe a few isolated thunderstorms will be possible through much of next week. With the surface high pressure over the eastern side of the CWA and the front stalled pretty well to our NW, keeping PoPs on the lower end.
