If you can, get out and enjoy the beautiful day we have going on. Temperatures are in the 70's with light winds and sunny skies. After today, we will head back into summer-like conditions. A cold front that arrived last night will keep temperatures near normal today. Monday into the rest of the week ahead will feature an upper ridge building in from the west with increasing thicknesses. A thermal ridge will also set up over the area in the mid levels helping afternoon highs climb back well above normal. In fact, most locations will temperatures near or above 90 through the end of this week with not a drop of rain in sight. An upper trough will begin to develop across the West next weekend before moving into the Plains Sunday or Monday. Unfortunately, this trough doesn't look deep enough to bring any rain to the region. More likely, we will see even hotter temperatures and gusty winds which could lead to increased fire weather conditions. This type of system could be harbinger of what is to come this winter and spring :(. && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
