Another upper trough exiting the northern Rockies tonight digs southward as it passes over the central and northern Great Plains on Monday, across the mid/upper Mississippi River Monday night, and over the eastern conus on Tuesday. A light north to northeast surface flow continues over the area through Tuesday between a large surface high pressure area shifting eastward over the eastern conus and Tropical Storm Gamma drifting slowly southwest just north of the Yucatan Peninsula. Low/mid level moisture is expected to increase Monday night into Tuesday with precipitable water values bumping up to between 1.6 to 2.2 inches southeast of Wiggins MS to Greenville AL line. It will remain dry across the entire forecast area through Monday evening, followed by isolated light rain showers along and southeast of I-65 late Monday night through Tuesday. Low temperatures tonight are on track to settle into the mid/upper 50s inland to around 60 degrees along the coast. Highs both Monday and Tuesday will range between 77 to 82 degrees.
