Issued at 227 PM CDT Sat Sep 12 2020 A low pressure system spinning along the Nebraska/South Dakota boarder brought a few showers and a bit of drizzle to the area this morning. Diurnal heating will aide in the redevelopment of a few showers and perhaps a couple rumbles of thunder later this afternoon and evening, mainly over northeast Nebraska and western Iowa. Instability remains unimpressive across the region, precluding the threat of any severe storms. Outside of any showers, skies will continue to clear this evening, with northwest winds becoming lighter overnight. This combination could lead to the development of fog, generally along and east of the Missouri River. Overnight, low temperatures will cool into the upper 40s and low 50s. Drier and warmer weather finally returns Sunday as an upper ridge builds into the Central Plains behind the departing low. Highs will rise back into the upper 70s and low 80s tomorrow afternoon. The forecast looks to remain fairly dry through the upcoming week, with high pressure remaining in control over region. High temperatures will likely top out in the lower 80s through the first half of the week. Temps may dip into the 70s towards the end of next week as a dry cold front moves through the region on Thursday. Overall, it looks to be a fairly pleasant week, weather-wise. && .AVIATION...(For the 06Z TAFS through 06Z Sunday night) Issued at 1113 PM CDT Sat Sep 12 2020 VFR conditions through the period.
