The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has extended 
the

* Flood Advisory for...
  Central Greenwood County in upstate South Carolina...

* Until 315 AM EDT.

* At 1033 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
  heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or 
  expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 4 
  inches of rain have fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Greenwood, Ninety Six, Ninety Six Historic Site, Lake Greenwood, 
  Greenwood State Park, Coronaca, Epworth and Dyson.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small 
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying 
spots.
