The tornado is estimated to have tracked about a mile across unpopulated desert land about 2 miles north of Interstate 40 and 8 miles east of the Kingman, AZ Airport. A brief tornado developed north of the I-40 corridor well east of Kingman, about 2 miles northeast of exit 59 (the DW Ranch Rd exit). This tornado was seen moving north-northeast, staying across desert land and in contact with the ground for about 8 minutes, becoming rope-like in nature and eventually dissipating.
