Southerly winds were gusting as high as 35 mph in Burlington, 32 mph northwest of Goodland and 29 mph in Goodland. OUTLOOK... A few rain showers are possible after midnight across parts of extreme southwest Nebraska otherwise it will be dry. Low temperatures will be slightly above normal in the low 50s to around 60. On Saturday it will be dry for much of the day. A few thunderstorms are expected across Cheyenne and Kit Carson counties late in the day. High temperatures are expected to range from the mid 80s to mid 90s. Shower and thunderstorm chances continue along and west of the Colorado Kansas border Saturday evening with dry conditions expected elsewhere. Low temperatures remain above normal in the mid 50s to low 60s. Isolated thunderstorms are possible along and west of the Colorado Kansas border Sunday afternoon. High temperatures across the area are expected to be in the upper 80s to mid 90s. $$
