This warming trend will then dramatically increase by Tuesday, peaking toward the middle to end of next week. && .DISCUSSION...Quiet weather will begin over the area in earnest today, with a warming trend developing under the influence of a large ridge that will dominate the weather pattern for the next week. Daytime northerly winds will occur for the next few days as the ridge develops over the region. This winds will be strongest downwind of the higher terrain, but only breezy conditions are expected. Temperatures will return to near normal values today and Monday, and climb to well above normal by Wednesday and Thursday. Most locations will see high values 10 to 15 degrees above normal for this time of the year. Light winds are expected as the ridge axis remains over the region through week. && .AVIATION...For the 12Z package...VFR conditions will prevail for the next 24 hours. Light and variable winds this morning will become northwest 10-15 kts late morning into the evening and then becoming northeast 10 to 15 KTS with local gusts to 25 KTS.
