Isolated to scattered lightning storms are forecast to develop across east central Florida this afternoon. The highest coverage of storms will be from around Lake Okeechobee to the Treasure Coast. Dangerous cloud to ground lightning strikes, locally heavy rainfall and gusty winds will be possible. .MARINE THUNDERSTORM GUST IMPACT... Offshore moving showers and lightning storms are forecast this afternoon, with the highest coverage along the Treasure Coast. Some storms will be capable of producing wind gusts in excess of 35 knots, in addition to dangerous lightning strikes. .WIND AND SEA IMPACT... Southwest winds increase to 15 to 20 knots by late afternoon across the offshore waters and nearshore Treasure Coast waters. Ahead of an approaching cold front the pressure gradient tightens causing southwest winds to increase to 20 to 25 knots over the offshore waters tonight. A Small Craft Advisory goes into effect early Monday morning for waters beyond 20 nm from shore. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY. Another cold front crosses Florida on Monday, bringing a chance for strong storms along with a period of poor to hazardous boating conditions. Drier weather is expected for mid week before a chance for storms returns by late week.
