Dry weather and below normal temperatures will continue tonight as the ridge moves overhead. Thursday the ridge will continue east and become centered along the Atlantic coast while weak low pressure organizes in the plains. This will turn the flow locally back onshore and begin to increase moisture and temperatures. The weak surface low and upper disturbance will quickly move across the Mississippi Valley and swing a cold front into the area by Friday night. A few showers may occur ahead of the front front. This weekend the aforementioned front will return back north as another area of low pressure develops in Texas. A stronger short wave and associated surface low will move across the lower Mississippi Valley Sunday. This will increase thunderstorm chances as moisture and lift increases. At this time organized severe weather looks limited as instability looks low, however an isolated strong storm can not be ruled out as shear looks sufficient. A brief period of dry weather is expected again early next week as high pressure moves across the region. MARINE...Winds will continue to decrease through the afternoon as high pressure builds in. The ridge will slip east of the area Thursday with a moderate onshore flow returning to the area. The next front will move off the coast Saturday, however an area of low pressure will trek east over the deep south Sunday pulling the flow back onshore, before another front pushes back south Sunday night. && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
