Associated ceilings will be MVFR. Low clouds will dissipate from west to east between 11Z and 14Z Tuesday, as a dryline/Pacific front moves through the area. South-southeast winds this evening will veer to southwest by late tonight. Somewhat gusty west-northwest winds are expected to develop on Tuesday morning. 19 PREV DISCUSSION... /issued 244 PM CDT Mon Mar 23 2020/ SHORT TERM... (Tonight and Tuesday) No significant changes in the short term. Skies are clear to partly cloudy, and temperatures have warmed into the 70s in most locations. South winds will persist tonight, with a return of low clouds for parts of the area south of a Brownwood to San Angelo to Ozona line. An upper level shortwave will move east through the southern plains tonight through Tuesday. Behind this feature, an Pacific cold front/dryline will move through our area, bringing drier air and west winds. This will clear out the morning low clouds by mid to late morning, and also result in continued warming with highs getting into the upper 70s to mid 80s. 20 LONG TERM... (Tuesday Night through Monday) Above normal temperatures are forecast across West Central Texas Wednesday through Friday. Highs will be running 15 to 20 degrees above normal, in the mid 80s to lower 90s. Overnight low temperatures will be in the 60s. A cold front is then forecast to move through the forecast area late Friday, resulting in cooler temperatures. In addition, isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible as the front moves through, mainly across the eastern third of the area.
