Northwest winds will also remain elevated between 10-20 mph with some gusts between 25-30 mph this afternoon. The dry northwest mid level flow pattern will persist through Saturday morning, before ridging aloft builds over our region by Saturday afternoon. A surface ridge of high pressure also builds eastward across the Tennessee Valley and adjacent Gulf Coast states through Saturday afternoon. Mostly clear and dry conditions will continue through the near term period. Highs this afternoon look on track to range in the lower to mid 60s over most areas, except slightly cooler around 60 degrees to the lower 60s generally along and to the north of U.S. Hwy 84. Lows tonight will be chilly in the lower to mid 30s over much of the interior, and in the upper 30s to lower 40s near the immediate coast and beaches. /21 && .AVIATION... 18Z issuance...VFR will continue through Saturday with only few to occasionally scattered high level clouds moving overhead.
