The end result is expected to be very similar to yesterday with most locations seeing highs in the low 60s. Some high clouds may shave a degree or two off from yesterday's highs across extreme southern KS but values were trended upward from the previous forecast. Thu-Fri...A frontal boundary will shift winds to the north late tonight and into the day on Thursday. Gusty north winds of 15 to 25 knots and an intrusion of much drier air will result in a very high grassland fire danger across much of the area on Thursday afternoon. Temperatures are expected to remain above normal ranging from the upper 50s to mid 60s. High pressure will quickly build in by early evening bringing light and variable winds and strong radiational cooling on Thu night. A shortwave trough is progged to lift out of the Southern Rockies and into the Central Plains late Sunday into Monday bringing increasing chances for showers and storms.
