144 FXUS64 KOHX 010434 AFDOHX Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Nashville TN 1034 PM CST Fri Jan 31 2020 .UPDATE... FOR 06Z AVIATION DISCUSSION. && .DISCUSSION... Frontal boundary remains draped across the mid state this evening. This feature is serving as a trigger for some light rain and light drizzle across the area, generally to the northwest of the boundary. Late tonight, an upper level trough will swing eastward and allow intensities to elevate slightly as the rainfall begins to move across eastern areas. This upper trough will continue to move the precip out of our area on Saturday morning. For the update, the rainfall probabilities continue to look ok as we do see likely pops reach into eastern sections late. I will need to add some additional patchy fog however. Dewpoint depressions will lower through the night so will add more patchy fog coverage to the grids. Dewpoints will lower northwest of the boundary, but depressions will continue to lower through 12z as well. Remainder of fcst in good shape. Still looking for lows to reach the upper 30s by sunrise across our northwest and also across portions of the Plateau. && .AVIATION... 06Z TAF DISCUSSION. Stationary surface boundary will remain draped over the mid state for the first half of the taf period, thru 12z. This feature will serve as a trigger for some light patchy rain and patchy drizzle. An upper trough will push across the area just aft 12z and the northerly push behind it will send that frontal boundary southeastward. As a result, look for the light precip to end aft 12z, but low cigs below 3kft will remain. However, aft 00z, partial clearing will commence. && .OHX WATCHES/WARNINGS/ADVISORIES...
