.DISCUSSION...
Cold front approaching Acadiana early this morning and can be 
seen by a few very light returns on local radar. Satellite imagery
depicting widespread post-frontal stratus over the remainder of 
the area with moisture locked in at 850 hPa and below. Moisture 
and resultant cloud will remain in place and simply phase into our
next system arriving later Thursday. Weak CAA and cloud cover 
will limit any significant warmup through the day, but still 
expected to top out near 60 area-wide from early morning lows near
50. Lows in the mid 40s on tap for tonight and highs reach the 
upper 50s to 60 for Thursday. Rain chances return Thursday night.

Southern stream shortwave approaches the area Thursday night into
Friday bringing another shot of moisture and showers to the area.
Feature then advances east of the area with a dry westerly flow
aloft initially following, becoming north as a second shortwave
drops southeast through the lower and mid Mississippi valleys.
Column will be dry through the weekend with PWATs dropping to 
0.25 inches or below. Expecting clear and cool nights, sunny and
mild days. Pattern will remain progressive with the next system
arriving Monday into early Tuesday. Feature showing some good
kinematics and sufficient thermodynamics at this time to at least
suggest a potential severe weather threat. System will watched
closely over the coming days.

.MARINE...
A brief period of moderate to strong northerlies can be expected
today in the wake of another frontal passage. An extended period
of offshore flow will continue through the remainder of the week.
Rain chances will return Thursday afternoon and continue through
Friday as another disturbance aloft approaches the area.
