264 FXUS64 KTSA 121648 AFDTSA Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Tulsa OK 1048 AM CST Sun Jan 12 2020 ...UPDATE... .DISCUSSION... Clouds didn't break up last night, but rather filled back in to the west overnight. This kept low temperatures from bottoming out as much as they could have. Satellite imagery shows breaks in the overcast this morning, and that trend will continue. The pattern of clearing will be interesting to watch, as there is an area of clear skies across far northeast Oklahoma into northwest Arkansas and another across southeast Oklahoma. South winds will increase by afternoon and deeper mixing will continue. Tulsa may be one of the last locations to clear. Adjusted hourly sky/temp grids to current observations and lowered high temps just a couple degrees to account for cloud cover sticking around through at least early afternoon for some spots. It will be chilly today, with wind chill values in the 30s to lower 40s this afternoon and gusty south winds. Update on the way. && .TSA WATCHES/WARNINGS/ADVISORIES... OK...None.
