...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON PST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...North winds 25 to 40 mph with gusts to 65 mph expected.

* WHERE...Mountains of Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Los Angeles 
  County, excluding the Santa Monica Range.

* WHEN...Now to noon PST Thursday. Strongest tonight.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down large objects such as 
  trees and power lines. Power outages are expected. Travel will 
  be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Warning-strength winds have been a bit slow
  to start, but are still expected to be strongest through the 
  I-5 Corridor and Santa Ynez Range including the Montecito Hills.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around
trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of
your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if
you must drive.

* WHERE...Santa Barbara County South Coast. Strongest in the 
  hills and canyons.

* WHEN...Now to noon PST Thursday. Strongest tonight.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and 
  make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. 
  Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may 
  result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...While the strongest winds will be in the 
  hills and canyons, much of the South Coast will see 
  sporadically gusty winds.
