Winds will shift to the southwest this afternoon, and bring some drier air to the region. This will cause the fog to dissipate from south to north thru late afternoon. It will be very mild again, with highs from the middle 30s in the far north to mid 40s in the south. A low pressure system moving towards Wisconsin from the Southern Plains could bring heavy rain and some snow to the area this weekend. The heavy rain, melting snow and mild temperatures could cause flooding of some rivers along with some ice jams. $$
