Only feature of note will be some passing high clouds. Look for high temperatures to be 5 to 10 degrees warmer than Thursday...going to a little above normal for this time of year. Lows tonight also will be on the order of 5 degrees warmer than readings this morning. .Long Term...(Saturday through Thursday) Issued at 251 AM EST Fri Dec 20 2019 On Saturday, a closed upper low centered over Oklahoma is expected to drop due south to the Gulf Coast. Then, it is expected to travel east towards the Atlantic where it should arrive on Monday. This appears to be the only feature of interest as rain chances are possible in central Kentucky, mainly in the Lake Cumberland region, Sunday and Sunday night. Global models still have the precipitation tracking south of Kentucky, but the NAM and SREF are a couple that bring precipitation chances north into central Kentucky. Went with a mix of these solutions in the forecast. Outside of this, the Ohio Valley remains near the axis of the upper ridge through early Friday. Late Friday, ahead of the next trough, precipitation chances return. && .Aviation...(18Z TAF Issuance) Issued at 1118 AM EST Fri Dec 20 2019 No changes to previous forecast.
