.Tornado 1 - Tangipahoa Parish into Washington Parish...

The tornado touched down near the intersection of Hwy 440 
and Fannie Powell Rd in far northeast Tangipahoa Parish. It
produced damage consistent with 105 mph winds in this area
with numerous trees snapped along the road. The tornado 
continued to cause damage to trees and tree limbs as it moved 
northeastward roughly parallel to the east side of Hwy 440. 
It crossed into northwestern Washington Parish roughly where 
Hwy 440 crosses the Tangipahoa River. It continued to cause 
minor tree damage and peeled a small section of tin roof from 
a home as it approached and crossed Hwy 450. The tornado 
lifted shortly after crossing hwy 450.

A mesocyclone associated with the same parent storm that 
produced the Tangipahoa/Washington Tornado caused sporadic 
damage to trees and tree limbs along a roughly 11 mile path
through Walthall County. The damage was too sporadic with no
clear evidence of rotation reaching the ground to conclusively
determine it was tornadic.

The tornado touched down near Compromise, MS near Judger Rd. It 
lifted the metal roof, back porch, and carport off of a single 
family home. It then traveled northeastward crossing County Road 567 
where it tore the roofing material off of a few single family homes. 
It also completely destroyed and moved a single wide manufactured 
home on County Road 567, as well. It then moved northeastward across 
Freeman Rd and then crossed Dixon Rd. A sturdy manufactured home, 
which was tied down, was completely lifted off of its foundation, 
was carried through the air, and collided with a nearby tree, 
wrapping the frame of the manufactured home around the tree. The 
walls, floor, and roof of the home were blown away by the tornado. 
Three injuries were reported at this location. The three injured 
people were carried with the tornado and were pinned underneath the 
debris/frame of the home. The tornado then progressed northeastward, 
crossing Pecan Orchard Rd and damaging a family home. It pulled the 
metal roof off of this home and tore down portions of the chimney. 
It also moved and turned the cars near the house a few feet. It 
continued northeastward, snapping trees near Meadville Rd and 
Coleman Rd.. It also snapped trees in its path northeastward near 
Fenn Rd and Reeves Rd. On Fenn Rd, it tore half of the metal roof 
and carport off of a single family home. It continued snapping trees 
as it moved along Butler Rd SE. As it moved northeastward, crossing 
Branch Rd, it snapped additional trees. It then continued 
northeastward into Lincoln County, MS, where our county warning area 
ends.
