Freezing rain will be the dominant precipitation type in the Laurel Highlands, where significant icing is possible, especially on ridgetops. Lows tonight will be in the upper 20s to low 30s. Travel may be difficult Tuesday morning because of ice and snow accumulation. Temperatures will top out in the low 30s over the northern mountains and near 40 across the southeast piedmont. An arctic cold front will usher in gusty conditions, much colder temperatures, and the potential for snow squalls during the day on Wednesday. $$
