...Snow to Return This Afternoon and Evening...

.This afternoon, a reinforcing cold front will move south across 
Lake Erie and push lake effect snow over Lake Erie back south 
into the snow belt region. The best focus for snow will be in 
northwest Pennsylvania, where 3 to 5 inches of snow are expected 
this afternoon and evening. Further west into northeast Ohio, snow
amounts are less certain, though 1 to 3 inches are expected for
Lake, northern Ashtabula and northern Crawford, PA. The best 
timing for snow appears to be a 2 PM to 10 PM window, or during 
the evening commute, where snow may be moderate to heavy in 
intensity. Westerly winds of 15 to 20 mph, gusting to 35 to 40 mph
will also allow for reduced visibilities and blowing and drifting
snow.

THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Lake effect snow occurring. Snow accumulations of 3 to 5
  inches. Highest amounts expected over northeastern Erie County. Winds
  gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Erie County in Pennsylvania.

* WHEN...Until 1 AM EST Thursday. Heaviest snow expected to occur
  between 2 PM and 10 PM.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Gusty winds will
  cause widespread blowing snow and could significantly reduce
  visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the evening 
  commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Decreasing temperatures combined with gust
  winds of up to 40 mph will bring wind chills down into the 
  single digits this evening and tonight.
