Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 95 mph Path Length /statute/: 0.63 miles Path Width /maximum/: 115 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 11/26/2019 Start Time: 06:20 PM CST Start Location: 7 SE Haynesville / Claiborne Parish / LA Start Lat/Lon: 32.9017 / -93.0423 End Date: 11/26/2019 End Time: 06:21 PM CST End Location: 7 ESE Haynesville / Claiborne Parish / LA End Lat/Lon: 32.9076 / -93.0343 Summary: Tornado first touched down at the intersection of Bell Hill Rd and Krause Rd. There it produced sporadic damage, uprooting and snapping 5 trees. The tornado continued on to a residential area of mobile homes on the grounds of the David Wade Correctional Facility. The most concentrated damage was found there, with a well-defined convergent damage swath with hardwood and softwood trees snapped and uprooted along its path. Minor roof damage was observed to a double wide mobile home and the top of a tree which fell on a travel trailer. The tornado then went on to snap and uproot additional trees and lifted after it crossed a pond on the grounds of the facility. An estimated 30 trees were downed along the path of the tornado. A special thanks goes out to the Claiborne Parish Office of Emergency Preparedness and staff at the David Wade Correctional Facility for their assistance locating damage on the survey.
