.SHORT TERM...Tonight through Tuesday...Northwest flow aloft 
will persist as a high-amplitude ridge remains off the west coast.
There will be some high clouds at times through the period, mainly
in southwest Idaho. The stable conditions will result in light
winds. Temperatures will trend a few degrees warmer each day.

.LONG TERM...Tuesday night through Friday...Northwest flow will 
continue through the long term as a blocking high remains off the 
West Coast. Expect dry conditions and light winds. Temperatures will 
be around 5-10 degrees above normal.

Friday through Sunday night...Partly to mostly cloudy skies are 
expected throughout most of the forecast period as moisture 
continues to spill into the region over a dominant ridge. However,
a slight change in the pattern is expected early Saturday morning
as showers associated with an embedded upper level disturbance 
begins pushing in, temporarily weakening the ridge. Increasing 
chances for precipitation are expected to gradually spread 
southward as far as the Owyhee Mountains by Saturday night. 
Rainfall should prevail across most areas with snowfall expected 
in the higher Boise Mountains. The Treasure and Magic Valleys will
see lighter precipitation throughout this event. Winds should 
become slightly breezy once this system pushes through Saturday 
afternoon. Highs temperatures are expected to register in around 4
degrees above normal while lows drop down to near normal.

.AVIATION...VFR. Haze in the valleys. Scattered high clouds. 
Surface winds variable 10kt or less. Winds aloft at 10kft MSL 
northwest 15-25kt.

.AIR STAGNATION...The surface-based inversion is well established
and is expected to continue through at least Tuesday, with light 
winds and little mixing in the boundary layer. An Air Stagnation 
Advisory is in effect for the lower valleys.
