879 FXUS65 KBOI 101527 AFDBOI Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Boise ID 927 AM MDT Thu Oct 10 2019 .DISCUSSION...Upper level ridging is moving into the region today, helping to provide sunny skies and warming temperatures. The exceptions to the sunny skies are an area of low cloud from Prairie to Bliss to Filer to Hollister and points east, and scattered low clouds in eastern Valley County. These will erode this morning, leaving mostly sunny skies for the afternoon. Record lows were widespread this morning. For example, Boise hit 23 degrees, breaking the previous record of 26 set in 1985, and Burns hit 9, breaking the record of 14 also set in 1985. Record lows are likely to occur again tonight, more so in the higher terrain than in the Snake River Plain, where a developing southeast wind will keep temps from really bottoming out tonight. && .AVIATION...Mostly VFR with areas of low stratus in the Magic Valley burning off by noon.
