Quiet weather overnight continued into the morning. Cloud cover has
been moving into Iowa from the south. Temperatures by 11 A.M. were
mainly in the lower 60s and rising. As of the late morning there were
no rain showers in Iowa. However, meteorologists have been tracking
rain showers in portions of Missouri and Kansas that are moving toward
the area. 

For today, expect mostly quiet weather with increasing cloud cover.
Temperatures are forecast to reach the upper 60s to lower 70s this
afternoon. Winds will be breezy. The weather will then begin to turn 
this evening, as rain showers and thunderstorms develop. More rain 
showers and thunderstorms will spread throughout the state on Thursday
and last most of the day. The active weather will then exit Iowa 
Friday, but will bring in very cold air. In addition to cold air, the 
winds will be quite gusty. Gusty winds will remain the big story into 
the weekend, but right now the Saturday and Sunday forecast is dry.
