A cold front slowly crosses the area today into this evening
with waves of rain. Total rainfall amounts across the mountains
and areas north will ultimately range 1.5-2 inches with locally
higher and lower amounts. High pressure moves in behind, 
allowing for a drying trend tonight, and a clearing trend 
through tomorrow. While strong high pressure builds east across 
the area through Wednesday, low pressure is expected to form in 
the western Atlantic and may move north along the East Coast 
bringing a chance of rain late in the week or this weekend. 
However, confidence is very low in the eventual position of that
potential coastal low.
