Southwest Lower Michigan...

  Muskegon River at Newaygo affecting Newaygo County

.Water levels continue to fall after heavy rain that fell earlier 
this week.  The following forecast is based on observed and 
forecast 48 hour precipitation.

The Flood Warning is cancelled for
  the Muskegon River at Newaygo.
* at  2:45 PM Thursday the stage was 10.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet. The river crested at 12.2 feet at 6 PM Wednesday. 
* Forecast, the river will continue to fall to below 10.0 feet by this evening. 
* Impact, at 10.0 feet, the river is bankfull. Minor flooding occurs in low lying 
areas along the river.
* Flood history, this crest compares to a previous crest of 11.3 feet 
  on Apr 19 2019.
