The National Weather Service in Amarillo has extended the

* Flood Advisory for...
  Western Randall County in the Panhandle of Texas...
  Southern Oldham County in the Panhandle of Texas...
  Deaf Smith County in the Panhandle of Texas...
  Southwestern Potter County in the Panhandle of Texas...

* Until 1115 AM CDT.

* At 809 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
  Two to four inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Amarillo, Hereford, Vega, Adrian, Glenrio, Buffalo Lake, Bushland,
  Umbarger, Bootleg, Wildorado, Dawn, Simms and Mescalero Park.

Additional rainfall of 2 to 3 inches is expected over the area. This 
additional rain will result in minor flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
