The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northern Woodford County in central Illinois...
  Northeastern Tazewell County in central Illinois...
  Central Peoria County in central Illinois...

* Until 430 PM CDT.

* At 131 PM CDT, trained weather spotters reported thunderstorms 
  producing heavy rain across the warned area. A report of 3.81 
  inches of rain was received 5 miles north of Peoria, with 3.16 
  inches in Dunlap, as of 130 PM. Some reports of flooding have been 
  received from the Peoria area eastward across central Woodford 
  County. The storms are expected to continue into mid afternoon in 
  these areas. 

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Peoria, Eureka, East Peoria, Washington, Bartonville, West Peoria,
  Metamora, Germantown Hills, Minonk, Roanoke, Bellevue, Spring Bay,
  Bay View Gardens, Secor, Peoria Heights, Cazenovia, Norwood,
  Benson, Panola and Mossville.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 39 between mile markers 16 and 27.
 Interstate 474 between mile markers 0 and 6.
 Interstate 74 between mile markers 82 and 95.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
