For further details you should refer to the Flood Warning that remain in effect for Central Sumner County until 1030 AM CDT Friday. The Ninnescah River continues to rise in and around Murdock. No flooding is forecast at this time, but the river is forecast to crest between 1 and 1.5 feet below flood stage this evening. You should refer to Hydrologic Statements for further details and be ready to take action in case the forecast should change and a Flood Warning be issued. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday Scattered thunderstorms will develop over primarily Southeast Kansas late Friday afternoon as a cold front approaches. Thunderstorms will greatly increase Friday evening and overnight as the front decelerates as it nears the Kansas/Oklahoma border. Severe thunderstorms are likely in areas primarily along, and southeast, of a line from around Marion, through Newton, to Kingman where hail as large as golf balls, 60 to 70 mph winds and even a couple tornadoes may occur. Areas at greatest risk are in Southeast Kansas where heavy rains that may cause flooding would become the primary threat later Friday night. Scattered to numerous thunderstorms that may produce nickel-sized hail, winds around 50 mph and heavy rains remain possible Saturday and Saturday night, especially across South-Central and Southeast Kansas. The additional rainfall would increase the flooding threat so forecasts should be monitored closely. Scattered thunderstorms return Monday night and greatly increase the middle of the work-week. Severe thunderstorms with heavy rains are possible for all areas. The additional heavy rainfall would increase the threat for flooding so remain alert. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
