.Continued Dry and Unusually Warm...

The next 24 hours will be very similar to the last 24 hours - dry,
with temperatures slightly warmer than usual for mid September.
The upper ridge will remain dominate, as will surface high 
pressure.

LONG TERM...
(Sunday Night through Saturday)

.Unusually Warm with Possible Rain...

The long term still includes temperatures warmer than usual, or
normal, mid September temperatures, along with the potential,
although low, for rain. Models still slowly shift the upper ridge
toward the east, over the next several days. Models remain dry,
for our area, until Tuesday, when showers and thunderstorms may
develop, mainly across our southeastern counties. This mostly
day-time development may also happen on Wednesday, mainly over 
the same area. Then, as an upper trough develops, over the
northwestern CONUS, flow aloft, from the southwest, will have more
influence over West Texas. Thus, continuing mainly slight chance
PoPs, for late next week into the weekend, looks reasonable.
