An area of low pressure will move slowly eastward offshore of southeastern Virginia along a stalled front through this evening as a weak disturbance aloft crosses the region. There is a chance of a few showers and possibly some thunderstorms as a result. High pressure building from the Great Lakes into New England will ridge southward into the area Tuesday resulting in dry conditions. Temperatures are expected to be well above normal Wednesday and Thursday after a warm front lifts northward through the area and high pressure re-establishes itself over the southeastern U.S. A cold front will likely approach from the Ohio Valley late in the week, and may bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms. $$
