101 FXUS64 KHUN 302249 AFDHUN Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Huntsville AL 549 PM CDT Fri Aug 30 2019 .UPDATE... For 00Z TAFS. && .NEAR TERM...(Tonight) Issued at 225 PM CDT Fri Aug 30 2019 Another pleasant night expected across the TN Valley. High pressure will keep skies mostly clear and winds light. This will allow for radiational cooling to help temps reach seasonable values in the lower 60s. .SHORT TERM...(Saturday through Sunday Night) Issued at 225 PM CDT Fri Aug 30 2019 High pressure will build into the region this weekend increasing temps back into the lower 90s. Won't have to worry about heat index values this weekend with the dry air in place! A trough will swing through the Great Lakes on Saturday and pull a front into the region but it will hang up to our north. Will see a little bit of additional cloud cover by Sunday with the front nearby and as moisture starts to return but with the lack of forcing we will remain dry. .LONG TERM...(Monday through Thursday) Issued at 225 PM CDT Fri Aug 30 2019 Warming trend to start the work week as afternoon highs climb into the lower 90s. The only chance for precip at this time is on Wednesday as a weak trough drops down from the Great Lakes region. Rising dewpts into the upper 60s combined with the incoming trough may lead to some diurnally driven thunderstorms. Dry weather pattern continues through the end of the forecast period as Hurricane Dorian stays well to our east. Current model guidance indicates the track of Dorian should stay along the FL/GA coast with the associated precip staying to our east as well. Northerly flow on the west side of Dorian will bring mild and dry weather to the area Thursday and Friday. && .AVIATION...(For the 00Z TAFS through 00Z Saturday evening) Issued at 549 PM CDT Fri Aug 30 2019 VFR conditions will prevail through the TAF period with clear skies and calm winds. && .HUN WATCHES/WARNINGS/ADVISORIES...
