...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 600 AM CDT
FOR NORTHEASTERN WOODS AND NORTHERN ALFALFA COUNTIES...

At 535 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Amorita to near Ingersoll to near Alva to 8 miles
north of Avard, moving southeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile 
         homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Alva, Cherokee, Burlington, Amorita, Byron, Avard, Ingersoll,
Driftwood, Capron, northern Great Salt Plains Lake and Hopeton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
minor flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
