The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for Poor Drainage Areas
  for...
  Southern Franklin County in east central Kansas...
  Anderson County in east central Kansas...
  Coffey County in east central Kansas...

* Until 530 AM CDT.

* At 120 AM CDT, emergency management reported ponding on roads was 
  causing slow downs and minor street flooding was occurring due to 
  thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. 
  Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding. Up 
  to two inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Garnett, Burlington, Waverly, Richmond, Colony, New Strawn,
  Greeley, Westphalia, Kincaid, Lone Elm, Beto Junction, Harris and
  Le Roy.

This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 153 and 156.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
