The Flash Flood Watch for portions of northern Connecticut and
Massachusetts has been cancelled. This includes the cities and
towns of Hartford, Windsor Locks, Union, Vernon, Greenfield, 
Orange, Barre, Fitchburg, Blandford, Amherst, Northampton, 
Springfield, and Ayer. Heavy rain has exited the area so the
threat of flooding has ended.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EDT TONIGHT...

The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* In northern Connecticut this includes Windham county and in
  central Massachusetts this includes southern Worcester county.
  This includes the cities and towns of Putnam, Willimantic,
  Milford, and Worcester.

* Until midnight EDT tonight

* Thunderstorms with torrential downpours will impact northeast
  Connecticut into southern Worcester county until about midnight.

* Intense rainfall rates of an inch or two in less than an hour
  may result in flash flooding especially in urban areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
