  The Big Sioux River Near Florence.
* At  7:00 PM Sunday the stage was 7.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* Recent activity...The river rose above flood stage yesterday  
  evening.
* At 8.5 feet...The water reaches the bottom of the bridge 1 mile 
  east and 1 1/2 mile north of the gauge.
