As for tonight into tomorrow, patchy storms are expected to persist near the MS/AL line and parts of western Tennessee. With these storms the primary threat will be heavy rainfall and lighting. As for the rest of the forecast area, expect dry conditions with temperatures dropping to the lower 70s tonight with partly cloudy skies. Northwest flow will remain in place for the next several days, with broad trough to our east being our rainmaker for the weekend. The frontal boundary currently located on the MS/AL will shift south placing northern Mississippi in the area with the greatest potential for thunderstorm development for the rest of the weekend. High pressure will build back into the area Monday night bringing another period pleasant weather. Our rain chances for early next week will be driven by daytime heating with primary threats of heavy rainfall and lightning. The Mid-South will likely see a lower percent of thunderstorm coverage for until Wednesday. As for Wednesday rain chances increase due to a trough moving into the area. Highs will be in the lower 90s for the remainder of the forecast. SGW && .AVIATION... /00z TAFs/ Diurnal convection will continue to decrease and should be gone by 02z.
