386 FXUS63 KEAX 232003 AFDEAX AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION National Weather Service Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO 303 PM CDT Tue Jul 23 2019 .Discussion... Issued at 303 PM CDT TUE JUL 23 2019 It's a really nice day out there today, and that continues to be the best description of the weather for the next few days. Satellite imagery this afternoon shows an amplified pattern in place across the Nation; with a large ridge over the Rockies, and a trough deepening over the Great Lakes. Resulting north northwest flow across the Plains States has helped bring much lower humidity and below normal temperatures to the region today, and will continue to do so for the next couple of days. By the end of the work week the pattern will start flattening out, which will allow more seasonally normal temperatures to return for the weekend and into next work week. Otherwise, only chance for rain looks like it will arrive Sunday night, perhaps lasting into Monday, as a weak frontal boundary settles across the Central Plains in response to several shortwave troughs moving across the northern Plains. && .Aviation...(For the 18Z TAFS through 18Z Wednesday Afternoon) Issued at 1216 PM CDT TUE JUL 23 2019 VFR conditions will prevail for much of this TAF cycle. Only issue will be the potential for fog around sunrise Wednesday thanks to cool overnight temperatures. && .EAX WATCHES/WARNINGS/ADVISORIES... KS...NONE.
