The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Arroyo and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
  North central Cibola County in west central New Mexico...

* Until 245 PM MDT

* At 1237 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding in
  the advisory area.

* Flooding will remain over mainly rural areas of north central
  Cibola County.

This will impact the Diener Canyon and Bluewater wild fire burn
scars. Some locations impacted due to the Diener Canyon scar
include Forest Roads 480 and 504 as well as Ojo Redondo Campground
and Post Office Flat. Some locations impacted due to the
Bluewater scar include State Road 612 and Forest Road 178, Bluewater
Creek, Bluewater Lake State Park and Bluewater Parking Area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Runoff from rainfall will cause elevated water levels within 
vulnerable drainages in and downstream of the Diener Canyon and 
Bluewater fire burn area.

Do not camp along streams and rivers. Remain alert when hiking in
steep, narrow canyons.
