...Slow Moving Thunderstorms With Heavy Rainfall...

Slow moving thunderstorms continue to plague the area and are
expected to diminish some but persist through mid-morning. Radar
estimates of up to an inch and a half of rain has fallen so far
and while there are no reports of flooding, ponding of water and
standing water in fields is likely occurring. If you encounter
water over roadways, do not cross through it. Please report any
flooding to local law enforcement.

...Heavy Rainfall Over Portions Of Central and Western Iowa...

A persistent band of slow moving thunderstorms resided over the 
highway 30 corridor overnight. Rainfall reports are starting to 
come in and many locations received between 1.5 and 2 inches of 
rainfall. While no flooding was reported, there is standing water 
in fields being reported in Ames and parts of western Iowa. The 
storms are starting to diminish and lift north but expect 
periodic thunderstorms through mid morning and if you see water 
over roadways, do not drive through it. Please report any flooding
to local law enforcement.
