At 5:50 PM...National Weather Service radars indicated a few isolated showers and thunderstorms across southern Franklin county in west central Arkansas, drifting northeast at 5 to 10 mph. Through 7 PM, a few isolated showers and thunderstorms will remain possible across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas with the slightly greater potential along the Interstate 40 corridor. Brief heavy downpours and dangerous cloud- to- ground lightning will be possible in the stronger storms. Thunderstorm potentials should continue to weaken this evening with the loss of daytime heating. $$
